Raised in Mississippi, where stories were passed across front porches, church pews, family reunions, and kitchen tables.
Long before I ever considered myself a writer, I was listening. Listening to the wisdom of elders, the humor hidden in hardship, and the way ordinary people carried extraordinary lives within them.
Today, I call Los Angeles home. Much of what I create still grows from those roots.
Through writing, I explore memory, identity, family, faith, love, loss, and the beautiful complexity of being human.
Through art and design, I search for new ways to tell stories without words.
Through gardening, I am reminded that nearly everything worthwhile requires patience, care, and a little faith.
